Expiration Date for KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation's Warrants

NORTHBROOK, Ill., July 8, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- KapStone Paper and Packaging Corporation (Nasdaq: KPPC) announced today that the expiration date for its approximately 37 million outstanding warrants, dated as of August 19, 2005, will be extended through Monday, August 17, 2009. The original expiration date was set for August 15, 2009, a Saturday. Each warrant entitles the holder to purchase from the Company one share of common stock at an exercise price of $5.00. All other terms of the warrants remain unchanged.
